Stay Young with Yoga
This course is for people who would like
to learn how yoga can really help to slow down ageing by improving
quality of health in the long term. Fiona
shares the secrets and best practices from the wisdom of yoga
that will teach you how you can look great and live a long and
healthy life. The
course includes a tailor-made yoga practise to keep you feeling
young, discussions on how we can cope with the ageing process
whilst developing our spiritual practise, a talk on how yoga
can work with the spine and joints as we get older, a look at
how the yoga diet helps, the importance of managing stress and
how to keep your brain sharp with meditation and mantra.
Beat Fatigue with Yoga
A gentle Energy Yoga course which is designed
to both relax the body whilst also increasing energy. Fiona’s
teaching focuses on developing potential for full health. Energy
Yoga uses awareness of breath and self-observation as a bridge
to awaken subtle energies (prana), which balance and strengthen
the whole body whilst yoga postures (asanas) and gentle moving
sequences open, stretch and release tension. Fiona has developed
Energy Yoga as a way of working with the breath to take students
deeply into each posture and sequence to connect with the stillness
within. Fiona seeks to include everyone, making Energy Yoga suitable
for all levels regardless of age, injury or fitness, including
those with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Sessions are fun and include
classic postures, gentle flowing movements, pranayama (breath
work), mantra and yoga nidra (deep relaxation) to promote well-being
of body, mind and spirit. Fiona believes that every yoga practise
should be a healing session and that students should leave the
class feeling better, with more energy and with a sense of peace
and calmness, than when they started, so this course will really
revitalise you. This course is very popular for those with M.E.,
or if you have low energy or other health challenges.
Transition
to Recovery
This course is for people who are recovering from chronic illness
and who are ready to make the final steps towards health.
The focus of this week is on slightly stronger yoga, including
opening and standing postures in increase confidence and energy.
There will be discussions around finding the way back to work
and picking up the threads of life again, and the positive
changes and spiritual lessons learnt. The theme of this
retreat will be recovery, health and dealing with change.
